  A wonderful little coffee house, with fresh-roasted coffee and their own original-recipe variations on the Nanaimo bar (I love lime). Their veggie sandwich is excellent.
  
  Sold just a few months ago, complete with recipes, it was closed down by the new owner not long after, and customers are still waiting for Java Expressions to reopen.

  Hated the fact that it actually opens at 9:00am on Sundays and not 7:00am as posted on google and the website. Couldn't get my nanaimo bar :( ....I'm sure they are tasty but I couldn't tell you all about it.

  We had some bad luck our first month open, the worse being the roaster having an electrical fire! We searched the world high and low for one over fivve weeks and finally had one built to our unique specifications! It is on the water heading to us! We can not wait to reopen!

  Walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner. Was surprised to learn that most of the pastries were made in house. Decided on a few different ones to split... All of them were amazing.! Spanokapita OMG! They have an old espresso machine that made the perfect espresso beverages! A must visit if ever if Nanaimo! Not to mention they roast their own coffee beans! Such a great place!
