  Wonderful bakery, awesome and knowledgeable staff and terrific place to stop for soup and a bun with coffee. I had their Borscht one afternoon and I can honestly say that it took me back to my childhood days with my beloved grandmother's memorable cooking. Absolutely fantastic. Their baked goods are prepared daily and the quality shows. I adore their glazed and sugar dough-nuts, croissants, and many varieties of pretzel bread products. This is the real deal.

  We love the Columbia Bakery for the last 12 years of us living on the Island. We drive to Nanaimo every 2-4 months and stock up on their delicious rye bread, their imports from Europe and all the goodies that we are used to.
  The owners are very accommodating. We request our bread day or two before we come and it is always there, ready. Thank you for your dedication and for bringing a little slice of Germany/Austria/Czech Republic to us! Lovely service too!
